The Spanish Corporation has reiterated its collaboration with the Regional Center of Excellence in Aquaculture on women empowerment which is domiciled in the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN).
The leader of the delegation, Beatriz Navalón made the disclosure when the corporation paid a visit to the ARCN.
She stated that the aim of the visit was to inform the council of the need to deepen their collaboration, a statement by Khadijat Ameen, ARCN head of public relations said.
This comes as the executive Secretary, and management staff as well as members of the regional center of Excellence expressed appreciation for the visit.
The Coordinator of Regional Center of Excellence in Aquaculture, Dr Charity Obetta expressed her gratitude for the collaboration.
She reaffirmed that the visit came at a time it was needed by many Nigerian youth and women.
She added that the center strengthens the aquaculture value chain by empowering youth and women in all areas along the value chain, such as fish seed production, table fish production, processing, trade, feed production.
Dr, Aliyu Shuaibu Madugu, Director, planning Research and Statistics took the corporation on memory lane of programmes which has been beneficial to the sector through the ARCN’s Agricultural Research and development which has transformed Nigeria’s food sustainability initiative.
