The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has restored electricity supply through the Aba–Itu 132kV Transmission Line following the completion of repair works on the line.
TCN, in a statement issued on Tuesday, said power supply was restored at about 7:02 p.m., after its technical crew repaired a damaged red-phase cut jumper conductor on Tower 142.
The fault had caused a temporary interruption of electricity supply from 10:38 a.m. to 7:02 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to the company, the restoration has enabled the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHEDC) to resume electricity off-take for distribution to customers in Uyo, Eket, Ekim and Itu, which were affected by the outage.
Meanwhile, TCN apologised to electricity consumers in the affected areas for the inconvenience caused by the temporary interruption.
