The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) have resolved to strengthen their collaboration on security, crowd management and the safety of Nigerian pilgrims during Hajj operations.
The Commandant General of the NSCDC, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, stated this when he paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NAHCON, Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf, at the Hajj House in Abuja.
Audi commended the NAHCON leadership for its ongoing reforms aimed at repositioning the Nigerian Hajj industry, assuring the Commission of the NSCDC’s continued support and cooperation.
He said closer collaboration between the two agencies would enhance effective security coordination, crowd movement management and safety during Hajj operations.
Responding, Yusuf appreciated the Commandant General for the visit and reaffirmed NAHCON’s commitment to sustaining and deepening its partnership with the NSCDC.
He said the collaboration remained critical to ensuring the safety and welfare of Nigerian pilgrims, as well as the successful and smooth conduct of future Hajj operations.
