(SINL NIGERIA) The Association of Heads of Federal Establishments in Zamfara State has called for stronger collaboration with the Armed Forces to enhance effective public service delivery across the state.
A statement by Media Information Officer, Joint Task Force (North West) Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja said the call was made by the Chairman of the Association, Dr Bello Alhaji Muhammad, during a courtesy visit to the Headquarters, Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA (JTF NW OPFY), on Thursday, 29 April 2026.
During the visit, the Chairman commended the tireless efforts of JTF OPFY in safeguarding the lives of citizens within the state and the wider North West region. He noted that the relative peace currently being experienced is largely attributable to the dedication and commitment of military personnel deployed in the area. “It is in recognition of the immense efforts of JTF OPFY that I, along with other executives of the Association, have come to identify with you and express our appreciation for all you are doing for the state and the region,” Dr Bello stated.
Dr Muhammad also outlined the achievements and challenges facing the Association and appealed for the support of the Theatre Commander (TC) in addressing some of these challenges, in order to enable government institutions in the state to deliver their mandates more effectively.
In his response, the Theatre Commander, Major General Warrah Idris, warmly welcomed the delegation to the Theatre Command and underscored the importance of synergy among government establishments. He emphasized the strong link between security and effective service delivery, noting that no government function can operate optimally without a secure environment.
Major General Idris called for a collective approach to addressing insecurity in the state, highlighting the critical role of Heads of Federal Establishments as key public service actors close to the people.
He urged the delegation to continue supporting the Theatre through the provision of actionable intelligence and by projecting a positive image of Operation FANSAN YAMMA.
“As heads of federal establishments, you are uniquely positioned to educate the public on the efforts of our troops and to counter any misinformation aimed at undermining our operations,” he added.
The Theatre Commander further assured the delegation of the Theatre’s unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property.
He noted that he and his officers remain readily accessible to respond to emergencies and pledged continued support to government institutions in the state.
Highlights of the visit included the signing of the visitors’ register, presentation of souvenirs, and a group photograph.
