United States President, Donald Trump, on Wednesday issued a stern warning to countries supplying military weapons to Iran, declaring that such actions would attract immediate economic penalties.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated that any country found providing arms to Iran would face a 50 per cent tariff on all goods exported to the United States.
“A Country supplying Military Weapons to Iran will be immediately tariffed, on any and all goods sold to the United States of America, 50%, effective immediately. There will be no exclusions or exemptions,” he said.
The warning underscores rising tensions around Iran’s military engagements and signals a tougher stance from Washington on nations perceived to be supporting Tehran.
