The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has restored electricity supply following a planned outage at the 132/33kV Apo Transmission Substation in Abuja.
TCN, in a statement issued on Sunday, said power supply was restored at 4:08 p.m. on September 6, 2026, after engineers completed remedial work on a fault affecting Apo Lines 1 and 2 between Towers T130 and T132.
According to the company, the outage was necessary to enable technical teams to address the fault and carry out OPGW latching on the two 132kV Apo transmission lines.
“Following the successful completion of OPGW latching on the 2x132kV Apo Transmission lines, power supply has now been fully restored,” TCN said.
The transmission company apologised for the inconvenience caused to electricity customers affected by the outage and appreciated their patience and understanding.
TCN reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a reliable and efficient transmission network to support improved electricity supply across the country.
