A group, The National Brigade for Progressives (NBP) has presented its campaign action plan for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the January 2027 general elections to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.
SINL Nigeria Online reports that the plan was presented on Tuesday by a delegation led by the NBP National Commandant, Ezrel Tabiowo, during a visit to the Director of Support Groups Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Silas Agara, at the council’s headquarters in Abuja.
The action plan outlines the group’s grassroots mobilisation strategy, command structure covering 8,809 wards and 176,846 polling units nationwide, as well as a proposed budget for its four-month operational cycle from October 2026 to January 2027.
The visit followed a directive by the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, for an engagement between the NBP national leadership and the council to discuss the group’s role in the campaign’s mobilisation structure ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking during the meeting, Tabiowo thanked Yari for facilitating the engagement, describing it as a demonstration of the council’s commitment to coordinating and harmonising the activities of support groups across the country.
“The National Brigade for Progressives was founded on the principles of service, sacrifice and progress,” he said.
He added that the group was committed to operating as a disciplined, verifiable and results-oriented component of the president’s re-election campaign rather than functioning independently.
“We do not seek to operate independently. We seek to serve as a disciplined, verifiable and results-oriented component of the president’s re-election campaign, and we are grateful to the director for receiving us,” Tabiowo said.
In his remarks, Agara commended the brigade’s structured approach to mobilisation and reaffirmed the council’s commitment to working with organised and accountable support groups.
He said the 2027 campaign would require coordinated, grassroots-focused mobilisation, rather than fragmented and uncoordinated activities.
Agara also assured the delegation that the campaign action plan would be reviewed and that further engagements would be held.
The delegation comprised senior members of the NBP National Command Council and zonal commanders of the organisation.
