The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a planned eight-hour maintenance exercise at its Kubwa 132/33kV Substation in Abuja.

TCN, in a statement issued on Wednesday, said the exercise would take place from 10:00am to 6:00pm to enable its maintenance crew replace a faulty 33kV NIPP feeder circuit breaker and a punctured yellow-phase current transformer.

The company said the maintenance would affect electricity supply to customers in Kubwa, Bwari, Army Resettlement, parts of Dutse Alhaji and adjoining areas.

According to TCN, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) would be unable to off-take electricity supply to the affected areas during the maintenance period.

The company apologised to electricity customers for any inconvenience the exercise might cause.
